twins christening gownsAs a child, I loved watching as my mother sewed on her now-antique old Singer sewing machine. That was well over 40 years ago and my own little girl is grown into a beautiful woman now. Where ever do the years go?

I’ve done a little commercial sewing. I’ve sewn for the Jeaux Canada (Olympic) dancers and had competition costumes shipped as far as Greece. I’ve sewn everything from skating and baton competition costumes to hockey banners and 6′ mascots. Once upon a time…

I’ve taught sewing and serging classes and enjoyed watching eyes glitter as men, women and kids made their first garment. I draw all my own patterns and have boxes of them that have been well used and treasured for decades.

But mostly, I sew for love. Birthday dresses and christening gowns. Halloween costumes and graduation gowns. I sew, and then as more years pass by, I cry happy tears at the photos. Love in every stitch.

The photo to the right is of the christening gowns I made for my niece’s twin miracle babies. If you think they’re adorable, you should see the girls that wore them!

On this site, you’ll find my hat patterns. Most are cobbled together from patterns once cut on newspaper in the years before home computers. I’ve scanned them and turned them into pdf files so you can print them out and get started right away. They’re wonderfully easy and I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

Happy Sewing!
